Fairfax Grand Theft Auto Charge

A Fairfax Grand Theft Auto charge criminalizes car theft and is a form of Grand Larceny.

A Grand Theft Auto charge and a Carjacking charge in Fairfax both involve car theft.  However, these crimes are very different.  Carjacking in Fairfax is stealing a car using force or violence, does not require intent to permanently deprive an owner of his property, and is punished with a minimum of 15 years up to life in prison.
