Attorney Profile

Jean HumbrechtBorn and raised in Fairfax, Jean Humbrecht is the founding attorney at Humbrecht Law, P.L.L.C.  Focusing her practice exclusively on criminal and traffic defense, Ms. Humbrecht defends adults and juveniles charged with misdemeanors and felonies in Northern Virginia.  She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and admitted to practice law in all of the Virginia state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Ms. Humbrecht handles cases in the General District Courts, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, Circuit Courts, appeals from the General District to Circuit Courts, and Federal Court.

Ms. Humbrecht also is the Town Prosecutor for the Town of Occoquan in Prince William County, Virginia.

Ms. Humbrecht has been described by her peers as a “kind, thoughtful, and compassionate attorney,” a “thorough and zealous advocate,” “talented in the courtroom,” “committed, conscientious, and ethical” and “well-respected.”

Most attorneys stop their education after law school-but not Jean Humbrecht. While working on Capitol Hill full time, Ms. Humbrecht earned her Master’s in Litigation (LL.M.) at the prestigious George Washington University Law School.  She graduated with Highest Honors.  This additional degree improved her trial skills, making her a formidable opponent in the courtroom.

Ms. Humbrecht worked as Counsel for a Congressional Committee for 3 years before moving into private practice.  While working on Capitol Hill, Jean Humbrecht was accepted into the James Madison Fellowship Program, the Heritage Congressional Fellowship, and the Foreign Policy Initiative’s Congressional Scholars Program.
